UVG accident insurance
A misstep on the ladder. The clippers slip out of your hands while you are trimming the hedge. Accidents happen faster than you would think. For that reason, Swiss law stipulates that domestic workers must be insured against occupational accidents, including on their way to work.
Our accident insurance covers all statutory benefits:
- Medical expenses: medical treatment, hospital stays (general ward), medicines
- Daily benefits: 80 % of the insured salary from day 3
- Disability pension: up to 80 %, depending on degree of disability
- Survivors’ pensions: for spouses and children
- Impairment allowance: one-off payment in the event of permanent impairment
- Care allowance: in the event of limited independence
- Transport and rescue: necessary operations included
Do your domestic workers work more than 8 hours a week? In this case, insurance against accidents in their leisure time, known as “non-occupational accidents”, is also required. Your advisor will be happy to help you with this in person.
- Cover for all parties involved
You fulfil your legal obligations and protect yourself against the financial consequences of an accident. - One solution for all employees
All your domestic workers can be insured with a single policy. A requirement for this is that each individual person works a maximum of 8 hours per week on average and the total salary is less than CHF 10,000. - Clear price
The premium is CHF 100 per year, regardless of how many domestic workers you employ.
Frequently asked questions and answers

No. If the person is employed by an external company, this is considered to be the employer and must take care of the insurance itself.
